Sports Centre In Salesian School, Madrid (Spain)
This project consists of a basement for car park, three levels above ground level and a roof with a total height of 17.54 m above the foundation.
The walls of the basement have been executed mainly with retaining hollow-core slabs and the rest with on-site walls.
As regards the structure in general, it was built with columns, beams and hollow-core slabs for structural floors. The stands are composed by raker beams and slabs for stands.
The roof, due to its dimensions and curved slope shape, required the use of 27.85 m span double-T beams and heels on them at every point where purlins are supported, so as to shape the curvature of the roof.
The façades have two types of grey concrete panels: a 20 cm thick lightweight panel with blasted finish on the face side, and a 12 cm thick solid panel with smooth finish on the face side.
Due to the curvature of the roof, the upper panels have been manufactured with a curve-shaped top which keeps the general aesthetics of the project.
