Product Definition
- Curved bridges made of curved or straight beams, depending on the curvature.
- Increasing demands with minimal radii. Tendency to use curved beams.
- Due to the type and width of the deck, box girders are used.
Main Characteristics
- Demanding layouts with small curvature ratios.
- Depths from 1.0 to 2.0 m.
- Thanks to prefabrication, they can be made as simply and quickly as straight bridges.
- Excellent geometry due to placement of specific moulds for these elements.
Types Of Structures Where It Can Be Used
- Use in isostatic and statically indeterminate set-ups
- Made with box girders
- They can be made with constant or variable depths.
- For deck widths between 7.0 and 13.0 m.
- They are solved with only one box girder, with a lower width of 3.30 or 3.96 m.
Main Applications
- For radii of over 200 m, the approximation along the straight beam, forming a polygonal shape affords excellent results.
- For radii of less than 200 m, curved beams must be used.
- Beams with radii between 50 and 200 m are made.
- So far, Pacadar has achieved curved beams with span lengths over 40 m.
Advantages
- Avoids the cost of using costly, complex arch centres in the construction work.
- Simple deck construction, avoiding complex developments for incrementally launched and progressive cantilever bridges.
- Substantially shortens the construction period.
- High quality, rigid moulds are created, permitting excellent geometric shape of the piece.

- Typical arrangement with a single box girder cross-section.
- Box lower width of 3.30 or 3.96 m.
- Most common span length between supports is from 20.0 to 35.0 m.
- For deck widths between 7.0 and 12.0 m.
