After 46 years in Pacadar, what better way to end the day than receiving the love of all his colleagues and going through the most significant moments.
Forty-six years is a long time "a lifetime", as he told us. A working life that began when he was only 16 years old as an "errand boy", at a time when there were no cell phones, computers, or internet... From here to there carrying drawings, bills of exchange or any document that had to be on time at the other side of town.
But Luis was not only diligent in his tasks and a good colleague, but he also proved his worth and soon joined the Administration department, then moved on to Transportation, to finally do his bit in the Procurement department. In the meantime, he had time to buy a house, found a family, and even have a grandson, whom he will now be able to enjoy immensely.
When asked what advice he would give to the youngest who have just joined the company, Luis told them to work with the best attitude, to be positive and that in the face of adversity, nothing better than a good smile! And if after 46 years, he still has that smile and that attitude, it certainly won't be bad advice.
As Maya Angelou, an African-American activist, said: “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel” and, that is the best memory that he leaves us all in Pacadar.
