Flyovers
There are several types:
- Overpass: it is the structure that, in routes in project, crosses over another road or railway which is already built or planned.
- Underpass: it is the structure that, in routes in project, crosses under another road or railway which is already built or planned.
Furthermore, flyovers may be isostatic (most commonly), or statically indeterminate for specific cases where very long span lengths must be crossed and/or there are tight restrictions for clearance.
Solutions with precast reinforced concrete are perfect for bearing the huge loads involved by road or railway loads, which are sometimes increased by earth loads. Therefore, we can find precast solutions with double-T beams which are the cheapest option, or U-BEAMS or BOX GIRDERS, which provide an aesthetically appealing, avant-garde design and can be better adjusted to the design requirements of, for example, curved bridges.
